1. What is the Alliance?
London & Partners has launched the citywide Alliance and its umbrella campaign “Because I’m a Londoner”, in order to support London’s culture, retail and hospitality sectors to thrive after coronavirus.
It is led by London & Partners, London’s international trade, investment and promotion agency, and supported by the Mayor of London and Transport for London (TfL).
London & Partners will lead with a simple citywide message. Then together as a city, we will work collectively to encourage a sustainable and responsible recovery in consumer spending and build consumer confidence in the capital through the Because I’m a Londoner campaign.
We want to reassure Londoners and inspire them to once again safely experience the local neighbourhoods that make London one of the greatest cities in the world!

2. How can I get involved?
You can get involved by joining the London Alliance and amplifying the Because I’m a Londoner campaign with our free-to-use assets on your own channels. You’ll be given access to a toolkit of fantastic content, from window posters and social media posts to campaign videos.
Other ways to get involved include helping to spread the word and encouraging your networks, contacts and other businesses to be part of the Alliance.
3. Is there a cost?
There is no cost involved. Our marketing and campaign assets are all free of charge for you to use on your own channels.
4. What benefits are there to getting involved?
By joining the Alliance and supporting the Because I’m a Londoner campaign, you'll become part of a united front in London’s response to rebuilding consumer confidence, together with other businesses, brands, cultural organisations and city authorities.
Members of the London Alliance are given access to a range of free-to-use downloadable assets.
As a business talking to other businesses: you’ll be provided with a range of tools to help you spread the word to your contacts, networks and other businesses, encouraging them to join the Alliance and amplify the Because I’m a Londoner campaign.
As a business talking to your customers: you’ll be given a toolkit of amazing content to take part in the Because I’m a Londoner campaign. This will help you to promote your business to your local neighbourhood in a responsible way, from social media posts to videos and posters. We'll share regular pieces of new campaign content, as well as exciting campaign activations for you to get involved in.
Play a vital role in inspiring Londoners to experience their local areas safely and help to kickstart London’s economy.
5. Are there guidelines for using the assets?
You can download and use any assets that suit your business on your own channels. You are also free to modify these assets to fit with your own brand, messaging and audiences.
However, these assets must be used in a responsible way and your communications must be aligned with the latest guidance from the UK government.
We’ll be publishing an official set of content guidelines later this month, so please check back soon for more information.
6. Can I share what I download with other business owners?
Absolutely! We'd love for you to spread the word far and wide about the London Alliance and the Because I’m a Londoner campaign.
As each company is different, we’d ask you to share our website and encourage others to sign up to allow them access to our wide range of free marketing assets.
